Hey guys, 

I’m soo happy about Christmas being right around the corner.. It’s one of my favourite festivals ever! So this week I was finally able to do a post with P (if you don’t know who she is, she’s one of my closest friends and has already done a couple of posts with me before. So if you want to check those out, click here or here.)  A long time ago, the extremely talented Paradoxical Sadness sent me a bunch of Top 5’s and we’ve finally got to answering them 🙂  Here it goes:

 

1. Top 5 must see before you die places

S- ROME 

P- Switzerland, Rome, Antarctica

S- Les Penguins?  I don’t even know what the word for penguins is 😛 But yeah, Antarctica would be pretty awesome xD

I’d choose Australia, Norway, Los Angeles…

P- HAHAHAHA of course it’s for penguins.. *makes the peace sign* (cause she’s weird like that)

S- And like probably Venice..

P- It stinks bro 

S- Yeah but it’s sooo pretty… Actually wait, I change my mind.. 

P- To be honest, I don’t want to go to Venice alone

S- Russia. I’ll chill with my fellow spies (it’s a long story involving 17/18 languages)

P- Australia.. OH and Ireland

S- We practically have the same places… DUDE Amsterdam

P- Yeah, but Ireland is like  proper countryside. And cancel Australia.. I’d go to Kashmir instead

S- Ladakh buddy. It’s tooo pretty

P- Yeah. That entire state man

S- Okay then.. No Australia. Got it.

2. Top 5 Fictional Crushes (aka name real, famous people who don’t know you exist and are hence considered fictional)

S- I’m saying Luke Hemmings. He’s practically fictional xD

P- Dude. Do I even have to start? Roger Federer. Surprise Surprise xD

S- Jason Grace from the Heroes of Olympus series 

P- Eden Hazard 

S- Gale Hawthorne from the Hunger Games trilogy

P- I have soo many that now it’s taking me forever to prioritize

S- Nick from Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist

P- Eden Hazard is a footballer buddy. (because I obviously don’t know the person right? -.- )

S- I know. You’ve told me.. Several times to be honest xD  Like since the 10th grade or something…

P – Hugh Laurie. James McAvoy *makes a heart shaped thing* 

S- And my last one is… This is confusing. Logan Lerman or Dylan O’Brien

P- I have one left. Oh god.

S- HAHAHAHAHA The pain is real xD

P – Okay. Got it. The young Jude Law

3. Top 5 favourite possessions 

S- Lemme guess this for you.. 1. Laptop 2. Phone 3.Books (because that’s your life now) 4.Food  5. Clothes maybe?

P- *laughs like a maniac* Not books.. More like 1. Food 2. Food 3. Food 4. Food 5. FOOOOOOOOOD

S- Well, I was slightly correct xD

P- No laptop though.. I don’t use it at all

S- Haha okay then.. I’d probably say 1. Laptop 2. Books (the non-school ones) 3. Baking equipment 4. My song collection 5. FOOOOOOOD

P- Slightly predictable. Let’s do the next one xD

 

4. Top 5 Most Awkward Moments of Your Life

P – Oh boy.

S- The list is endless. It’s like my life is one big awkward moment

P- 1. You know the messaging incident? I’m not going into details for that one because it’s a little too embarrassing xD 

S- 1. Mine is probably walking straight into a glass door… My mother has no idea how we’re related.. (this hasn’t just happened once)

2. So this one time, mom and I were walking and there was this huge metal signboard or something and you could basically just duck under it and keep going.. I saw the signboard and I ducked.. but I didn’t duck quite enough because my head still hit the metal..Mom just walked 3 feet in front of me because she decided she didn’t know me. 

That was incredibly awkward..

P- Hahaha… Dude, I hid under a freakin table. So when I was a kid everyone was forcing me to dance at a family function… my way out was to run and hide under a dinner table. 

S – Holy shit xD   So you remember Sinhals right? Like one day we had just finished with that really strict persons lecture and we were outside when I told you guys that I was really hungry and the lecturer was right behind us.. He told me to go home and eat instead of hanging around. Awkward as hell.

P- That one time my college physics professor ended up taking my case in front of everyone.. I was standing and waiting for him to correct my journal and there was a line. So he looked at me and he’s like “omg let me correct this girl’s first… it looks like she hasn’t eaten anything since days”.    If he only knew how much I really eat.

S- Not that much though..

P- Shut up. I don’t eat too much at once. But throughout the day I keep eating…. a lot. So at the end of the day, well, you get it

S- Okay okay. I stand corrected. (I’m still correct. She doesn’t eat a lot xD)

Oh so I cut my hair again this year right? So the first day back in school, my political science teacher walks into class and she doesn’t see me at first. Then when she does, she goes “ayee what happened to your hair” and I said “well, I cut it”.. So her reply goes “But you had such pretty hair” And I said “I know..” Oh and then she spent 15 to 20 minutes telling me how I shouldn’t have cut my hair…. Too awkward.

P – HAHA .. that’s hilarious.. So this one time during chem practicals we had to weigh this salt okay.. and basically the instrument is like a plain cover of glass and is open from both sides so that we can put the spatula in and put the salt in the pan. So before me there was this left handed girl and she took the salt container, put it to the left and weighed it. Next it was my turn and there’s like a bunch of people behind me.. So I struggle holding the spatula with my right hand and try putting it through the left window. And I’m literally struggling and I’m clueless… I’m like “damn, this shit’s tough”.. So then a guy behind me goes “why don’t you just put the salt container on the other side and try” And I was like “OMG KILL ME. ” Everyone must have been like this girl’s so freakin dumb. I swear it didn’t strike me.. so I just gave this nervous laugh and moved it..

S- HOLY SHIT xD That would have been priceless.. 

P- It really wasn’t. I’ve never felt more stupid. 

S- Haha.. In our previous school, I was laughing one day and the principal at that time heard it and she literally came upto me and said “I don’t like your laugh. Change it” Too awkward for words..

P- I remember this xD “Change it”. You should’ve been like “I don’t like your face. Change it.”

S- Things I wish I could do… *sighs* Anway, let’s move onto the next question.. I think we’ve made ourselves look weird and stupid enough xD

5. Top 5 Ways to Ward off Boredom

P- Eat food. Music. 

S- Umm… Music. Read a book (not the school ones). BAKEEEE. 

Ohh go for a walk and drag some friend along with you so that you can rant about the world in general or have weird philosophical conversations xD… And obviously YOUTUBE was invented for a reason… Eat loads of fooood.. I think that’s more than 5 but I don’t care xD

P- Youtube for sure. And sitcoms also. And dude, the most important thing…. SLEEEP. I’m so sleep deprived these days.. I don’t have the time to be bored (yet here she is doing this post, I feel honoured). It’s like study sleep study sleep and well a lot of procrastination.. 

(This is what happens if you’re a science student. Or a humanities student. Or any student in your senior year. You’ve been warned)

S- How could I even forget sleep and procrastination? xD Basically there’s a ton of ways to not feel bored 😛

P- Buddy, I have to study now. I have prelims…

S- So do I..We have no lives. 

P- Buddy, I have a prelim TODAY.

S- Hahahaha good luck xD You’ll slay it (as usual). 

*insert some whining about how that’s not true because she’s so incredibly modest… not*

And that’s a wrap because like I said, our lives are hilariously boring. A Teenagers Take on Top 5 (Part 1)

Hey guys,

Like I said, this week is going to be more of a filler post because of exams and all that.. So I decided to do a Top 5 post 😛 ( I was in all reality going to do a post on buzzfeed quizzes but then again the lack of correct answers would have just made me cry. So this was the better option.) And this gets more accurate answers (since I’m the one answering them)

Okay, so let’s just get to this post without me ranting about how I need a vacation for the next 6 months. Hibernation will also be welcome.

1. Top 5 favourite excuses (I’m basically telling whoever reads this all my secrets. I’m going to chalk it up to lack of sleep)- 

1) My mother’s not going to allow/ mom said no. (End of conversation, she doesn’t even need a reason)

2) I’m sick. (the flu normally works).

3) I have prior commitments (with YouTube, WordPress and loads of chocolate and popcorn.)

     4)  *swiftly changes the topic and avoids answering any questions that might land you in a mess*

5) If none of these work, there’s always the escape clause. Walk away.

2. Top 5 favourite books that you’ve read for school.

Okay, so the education system in India is such that we don’t really read external books (and none of my textbooks are fun. Especially math.) so I’m just going to list down the top 5 books I’ve enjoyed reading in the past few months-

4. Google  (When in doubt, remember, google has all the answers. P.S. people use “google” as a verb these days. It’s scary) 

5. Getting reviews about almost any book. It’s helpful because at least you know which book is going to be a bummer. However, there are a ton of spoilers as well. But you can’t win ’em all. 

5. Top 5 places you’d like to live

This is a little too tough cause there’s so many places but if I had to choose (in no particular order)-

A Teenagers Take on the Liebster Award

Caution: Before you read any further, I shall disclose that this a humongous post. Read at your own risk. 

Hey guys,

This is going to be another post on one of the awards I had been nominated for. I know the Liebster Award is only for blogs with less than 200 followers, but I was nominated when I was at 197 followers… so I’m guessing I can still do this 😀 

I had always wanted to be nominated for this award (it’s pretty creepy how much I wanted it) and you cannot IMAGINE how happy I was when I saw that I was nominated by 3 of my favourite bloggers on here! 😀

So a major thank-you to Life of a 17 Year Old Indian , Paradoxical Sadness and Every Word You Say. If for some odd reason you haven’t come across their blogs yet, visit them because all of them are amazing 🙂

And before this goes on to be longer than I ever imagine it to… I’m just going to get started. Here are the rules-

 Okay, so I’m going to start with Every Word You Say’s questions first-

 1. If you had to sum up your life in one sentence, what would it be?

Ans. It would probably be : Sleeping, Procrastinating, Eating and Being Confused; Do not disturb or else you’ll be hit with mindless ramblings.  (Yepp, that sums it up)

2. What is your dream job?

Ans . Okay, honest question: Does procrastination count? I’m already a professional at it. 

But to be a little more serious, my dream jobs (yes, it’s plural) would be- opening a small bakery, becoming a food critic (travelling the world and having a T.V. show and all that) and probably becoming an author. 

3. What is your favourite thing about yourself? (feature, personality or both)

Ans. It’s probably my sense of sarcasm (if there’s even a thing called sense of sarcasm). I mean I’m becoming so sarcastic that sometimes I don’t even know if I’m being serious or not. 

4. Do you own any pets?

Ans. Unfortunately, no.

5. What sounds can you hear right now?

Ans. My younger brother whining about homework and a cover version of Bad Blood. I’ll probably put the video in this post.. 

6. If you could only keep one physical object that you own and everything else would be destroyed, what would you keep?

Ans. This is going to sound slightly ridiculous.. but probably food. (Is food even counted?) Because you cannot ask me to choose one thing, there’s so many! 

7. What were you like when you were growing up?

Ans. I was annoying. Plain and simple. If I met my younger self right now, I’d probably yell at her (or me, I don’t know)

8. What’s your favourite movie?

Ans. I’m not much of a movie person… so I really can’t answer this..

9. When was the last time you laughed and why?

Ans. About fifteen minutes ago at something my mother said…  and then five minutes ago when I heard my brother whine about 6th grade studies (poor kid has no idea what’s going to happen when he enters high school)

10. What is your happiest memory?

Ans. I have a lot of happy memories and it’s going to take ages if I sit and write all of them (hence I shall spare you all the torture)

1. If you could pick one which one would it be? Your options are: editor for the school newspaper or school quarterback?

Ans. Easiest answer ever: Editor for the school newspaper!

2. Writing or reading or drawing?

Ans. More like writing and reading. Definitely not drawing. My artistic abilities extend to stick figures only.

3. Favourite food and why?

Ans. I’m going to go with anything sweet (basically chocolate). And do I really need a reason for being in love with chocolate? Okay here’s one: It’ll never break your heart and will always be there for you! 🙂

4. Do you like turtles and/or tortoises?

Ans. I think they’re cute but I’m neutral towards them.

5.  What is your idea of the perfect gift for a loved one?

Ans. This differs from person to person, but I love to give DIY things to them.. I basically hand them a box of homemade brownies these days.

6. What do you think of 50 Shades of Grey?

Ans. Umm.. *awkward silence* Let’s move on. 

7.  What Hogwarts house do you identify yourself with and why?

Ans. Fellow Potterhead! *gives you a fist bump* Okay, so I identify myself as a Ravenclaw even though I’d love to be in Gryffindor. It’s probably because I admire what Ravenclaw stands for and I’d fit in much better there.

8. Best piece of poetry you’ve read?

Ans. I’m horrible with these answers. I cannot choose the best one. It’s just not possible. But a friend of mine writes amazing songs and poetry so go check her blog out – Tessellating Sunshine 🙂

9. Do you like Facebook?

Ans. Not anymore. I don’t think I’ve been on there for a while now..

10. HAHAHAHA. I laughed for 10 minutes straight! Thanks for that 🙂

1. What is your favourite sound?

Ans. That’s a pretty interesting question.. my favourite sound would probably be the music I’m listening to, the sound of my parents agreeing to whatever I’ve said and the sound of rain. I love the rain and thunderstorms…

2. If you could travel to one place in the world for free, which place would it be and why?

Ans. Could I travel the world instead?

3. Your favourite food?

Ans. Done this one before.. chocolate 🙂

4. What would you name your life if it were a book?

Ans. I’ve actually come up with quite a few titles that could easily become best-sellers.. Here are some of the best ones –

Ans. Very often.. My hobbies are very simple and they’re stress-busters so I end up spending a lot of time on my hobbies..

Ans. My family. I know I haven’t mentioned my friends but the friends I’m talking about are also family 🙂

7. If you could date a fictional character, who would it be?

Ans. Can Luke Hemmings be counted? Please? He’s practically a fictional character!

Ans. I don’t really have a philosophy (shows you exactly how confused I am) but my parents keep stressing the point that I need to work really hard to get where I want to be because in their words “There are no free lunches”

9. What is more important to you? Career or love?

Ans. I’ve never been in “love” and my only career has been studying.. But I’d still probably choose career.

Ans. A pencil. I’m going to stab those zombies with my pencil.

31 Day Challenge for January

Day 3: The theme is “Bucket List”

Yay! I’ve always wanted to blog about my bucket list and now I’m getting a chance to 🙂

For those who do not know what a bucket list is, it’s basically a list of all the things you want to do before you die. It includes all the experiences and the goals you want to achieve and everyone is highly recommended to have a bucket list.

“Every man dies- not every man really lives.” – William Ross

So I’m going to include 10 things that are on MY bucket list because I cannot write a million things on this post (well I can, but I’m too lazy).

These are in order whatsoever and again, there’s a million other things that I’m not writing on here. If you have a bucket list or are planning to write a post with your bucket list just send me an email and I shall definitely see it 😀

Bucket List

1) Travel all around the world- I’ve always wanted to go to Rome, Venice, Spain, USA, Mexico,Germany, Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Greenland, Norway, Canada,France, Britiain…. well, you get my point. So I’m going to go to these places one at a time and slowly tick them off.

2) Meet 5 Seconds Of Summer OR at least go to their concert- I don’t care how old I’m going to be; if I have a chance of going to their concert or meeting them, I’m going to do exactly that! Nothing gets in my way.

3) Get a tattoo- Okay, so I’ve always wanted to get a tattoo and I haven’t discussed this even with my parents yet. A tattoo was the second thing I wanted to do right after getting blue and purple streaks( I’ve already got blue ones done so yay). I’m turning 18 in around two years so I have two years to convince my parents( who are both completely against the idea I might add). So the tattoo I want to get done is a treble clef on either my ankle or wrist.

4) Go scuba-diving- I have always wanted to do this. Unfortunately my parents refuse to let me do this on my own and they don’t want to scuba-dive. So this is definitely one of the things I want to do before I die because who wouldn’t? The experience would be fantastic!

5) Open a small bakery- So I’ve been baking since the 8th grade and I’ve become pretty good at it (I’m humble, what can I say?). It’s become a recent goal of mine to start a small bakery.Obviously that’s not going to happen any time soon, but one day it shall.

6) Go Skiing- Snow! Snow! Snow! Why would anyone not want to go skiing? I’m not even going to give a reason for this.

7) Write a book- I love writing. It’s a stress buster and one of the reasons I actually started blogging was because I love writing and I wanted to share it with other people (aka you, yes you). Soon after I started this blog, I also made an account on Wattpad and I started writing a story. But since everyone knows how punctual I am (sarcasm,sarcasm) I haven’t updated in ages. My goal is to finish the book, sometime. Maybe in another year? (cough, cough. That’s never happening.) Okay to be more realistic in another three years. 😛

8) Eat, Eat and Eat some more Chocolate- I’m a chocoholic. There. I’ve admitted it. My dream i is to eat chocolate from morning till night (even for a midnight snack) for an entire week. I haven’t been able to do this yet because of my dear parents but I shall definitely do this.

9) Become a YouTuber/Viner-  Bucket List Thing To Complete #1. This friend of mine and I decided to open a collab channel and talk about everything and nothing. It’s going to be absolutely hilarious. When is this channel starting? I have no clue. That’s the only thing we haven’t decided yet 😛

10) Go behind someone in a department store and spray disinfectant on anything that they touch- BEST PRANK EVER. If I ever become a YouTuber, you know what the first video’s going to be now. 😀

 

So this is a small part of my bucket list.
